Quick Look Previews
DevKnife includes a Quick Look extension for previewing developer files directly from Finder.
Select a supported file in Finder and press Space to open a preview without launching a full editor. This is useful when you want to quickly inspect data files, source code, HTTP request files, or color palettes while browsing a project folder.

Source Code Previews

DevKnife supports Quick Look previews for:

Using Quick Look
Section titled “Using Quick Look”To preview a file:
- Open Finder.
- Select a supported file.
- Press Space.
Finder opens the preview using DevKnife’s Quick Look extension when the file type is supported.
Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”Quick Look previews are generated locally on your Mac. DevKnife does not upload your files or send preview contents to external services.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”If previews do not appear immediately after installing or updating DevKnife, try restarting Finder or reopening the app. macOS manages Quick Look extensions in the background, so it can occasionally take a moment for a newly installed extension to become available.
